30 Days of Harry Potter: Favourite Character(s)

Harry Potter has so many amazing characters, there is no doubt I have many favourites as well. From the first book to the last, there are so may characters that have made a lasting impact and ones that I truly love and cheer on even when the series are over. So here are my top 5 favourite characters from Harry Potter.

5. Molly Weasley

Is it even possible to hate Molly Weasley? She was such a supporting character to Harry all throughout the books and gave him a mother figure to look up to when his own mother was gone from his life. Molly was the one who gave him the feeling of a real family and included him as a part of her own even if they weren’t related.

But most of all, I love Molly for her fierce personality. She would go to great lengths to protect the people she loves and her character is just so amazing and warm.

4. Hagrid

Cheers to the best Half-Giant ever! Despite being super huge, he is probably the nicest and warm-hearted person in the books. I love that he has such a soft heart and sees the most dangerous of creatures as his friends. It might get him into trouble sometimes, but he has this compassion that can’t be beat.

And I’d actually love to see Newt and Hagrid meet. I feel like they would be the best of friends and would learn so much from one another! It’s crazy how much they are both so alike.

3. Fred and George Weasley

As the pranksters of the whole series, Fred and George had always been the laughter present in the books. They were my favourite characters when I was younger and I loved their pranks and tricks all throughout their years in Hogwarts. They were the mischievous twins that brightened up Hogwarts when it got dark (*cough* Umbridge *cough*) and made Hogwarts more fun.

2. Luna Lovegood

Quirky and dreamy Luna, she has always been one of my favourite characters. I love how she doesn’t care about what others think of her but acts in her own way, at her own pace. I love how she is so supportive and kind, but most of all doesn’t let others push her into someone who she isn’t. Her quirks are just some of the best things about her and I think she is one of the best characters in Harry Potter.

1. Hermione Granger

And, of course, my most favourite character out of all the characters is the one and only Hermione Granger. I can relate to Hermione so much and I love her personality. She pushed past the boundaries that were set on her and exceeded beyond everyone’s expectations. She might be muggle born, but you wouldn’t know it if you ever met her. Her bravery and her feelings towards her friends makes her kind and courageous. And, of course, she proved that knowledge can save lives.

What do you think? What are some of your favourite characters from Harry Potter?
