The episode starts off the moment the last episode left off. Boruto is going to fight Hiashi in order to see if he really has the Byakugan or not. However, before they get started, Hanabi (Hinata’s sister) interupts, saying that she will fight Boruto instead of him.
As the fight starts, Boruto is easily overwhelmed by Hanabi, but doesn’t give up, determined to prove that he has the Byakugan.
The battles goes on until Boruto can’t fight anymore, and he doesn’t reveal any signs of the Byakugan much to his disappointment. Boruto and his family stay over night at Hiashi’s place since it’s getting late and they end up having a meal together. Then while Boruto, Himawari, and Hanabi go play, Naruto talks with Hiashi. They discuss about Boruto’s fight and how Naruto believes that Boruto didn’t lie about his eye. He promises to keep an eye out on his son to see what this new power is.
The next day, Boruto bumps into Sarada and they find out that the superhero show that Boruto liked had been cancelled. Boruto then sees a person with a dark aura walking by and follow it, dragging Sarada along.
They end up in a buliding, where they find out the possessed person was the star from that famous superhero show. Apparently, he had gained a lot of weight, which got the show cancelled.
Boruto engages in a fight with him, and gets caught in a bad situation when Sarada comes and defends him. They both end up fighting together, even mirroring the Shadow Shuriken jutsu that Naruto and Sasuke had done in their early years.
They successfully saved the guy that was possessed and return to their respective lives. The TV show that was cancelled continued once again when the main star went on a diet, and Boruto still questions what his eye is.
This was a very intersting episode and it had a lot more plot development than some of the other episodes that were aired. We see Boruto trying to unravel the mystery of his eye, which is something I’ve been waiting for since I really want to know what his eye does and what exactly it is.
We also see a small clip of Naruto, which is mainly for nostalgic purposes, but it was great seeing him mature into an adult, despite the fact that he was no less, even more troublesome than Boruto ever was.
We get to see some old characters, such as Hiashi and Hinabi, who were barely seen in the Naruto series, and we got to see more of the infamous Sarada. The character of Boruto is slowly developing and I like how he’s beginning to try and find himself out and who he really is.
It was a great episode and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
